We’re excited to share that the MIC Immigration Legal Program has expanded its services, launching a new program, and growing its legal staff. Our program is committed to serving clients through trusted relationships, accessible services, and a model built for long-term impact. We partner with Rian Immigrant Center, Agencia ALPHA, Immigrant Family Services Institute (IFSI), and Mabel Center for Immigrant Justice to provide direct representation, legal clinics, workshops, and community education. To expand the program’s legal services delivery even further, MIC Immigration Attorney Stariska Abadi now provides full representation in selected cases.
Medical Volunteer Program-Legal Berkshires (MVP-Legal Berkshires) launched in April 2026, and engages attorneys to provide pro bono legal assistance to underserved communities in Berkshire County. The program expands access to justice and strengthens regional legal support networks.
MIC welcomed a second immigration attorney to its team, who provides direct services to MVP-Legal Berkshires’ clients, supervises volunteer attorneys, and helps to meet legal needs identified by MIC Partners, by representing clients in urgent and high-priority cases, including filing habeas petitions for detained individuals.
