Before Interview

  • Confirm that the client has received consent and release form.
  • Ask for client consent to record phone call conversation for transcription purposes.
    • Ask if this call can be used for snippets on videos or promotional material.

Questions for Interview

    • How did you first hear about the collaborative’s free legal services program?
  • In a few words, tell us about your experience working with our services and with (legal partner)?
  • What were the challenges you faced before accessing the collaborative’s free legal services program, and how did these services help you overcome them?
    • Given that our program is meant to provide free immigration legal services, how did this economic accessibility help you?
  • What part of your journey as an immigrant in this country would you like others to know more about?
  • How do you envision your future or the future of your loved ones now that you have access to immigration solutions through the collaborative’s program?
  • Is there a message you would like to convey to the organizations, volunteers, or supporters who make the collaborative’s legal services program possible?
  • What MIC organization originally referred this client to the program?

After Interview

  • Ask the client if they would like to provide an image so that we can attach to their story
  • Thank client and let them know that as soon as we compile some material, we will sent it to them
